Worldwide English(WWE) is a Lexington Youth Charity Club that connects new immigrant students from different cultural backgrounds through learning English.
Worldwide English History
Worldwide English first started in April 2020 in the middle of the pandemic. Since then, we have been teaching remotely, allowing students from China (ages between 6-14) to practice their English and learn from our organization during our teacher’s free time. Our original goal is to create an opportunity for kids all over the world to learn about different cultures through a global language such as English. Teachers would also have the opportunity to learn about the customs of a certain region and vice versa. After more than a year of development, Worldwide English intends to seek out newcomers who first joined their community in the US. Most teachers now have more than a year of teaching experience and are greatly trained to help students to improve their English and make connections with their community!

creating an environment and letting them feel comfortable and making friends in an unfamiliar country.
For newcomers, just let them know, "You are not alone"
sharing similar experiences with newcomers.

I enjoy working with all the different students. I may not have the opportunity to travel all of the world, but just in our Worldwide English Club I am getting to know all these different cultures. Thank you every students for joining!

Curriculum Overview
One-to-One course
One-to-one classes are a great opportunity for students to spend time with a tutor on a weekly basis.
Conversation Group
Conversation Group is a class where we bring students and teachers from different levels together.
Book Club
Book club students will read a book together and share personal ideas.
Course of 2020
In 2020, we have been adjusting our methods of teaching, the meeting schedule.
Course of 2021
In 2021, we’ve had two semesters of classes, Spring and Summer 2021.

At the end of each semester, teachers send out a feedback form with suggestions for students.
A Note of Thanks to Teachers
My daughter is taking classes in Emily’s Worldwide English Club. My daughter is very shy and quiet. So we found Emily’s organization and hope it can help her. She has already taken classes for one year from Emily’s English club. I am gladly found that this club helped my daughter a lot.
Her teachers Emily and Mia are very patient, kind, knowledgeable and diligent. I am so moved that these high school students give classes to help other kids constantly no matter how busy they are in their school works. Their classes are so fun that my daughter enjoys a lot. I am very impressed that they give detailed feedbacks to parents after each class. This helps the parents know what their kids were doing in the class, how their kids behaved in the class and what their kids need to improve in the future. These points totally differentiates them from other organizations. This club helps my daughter a lot. I can see my daughter is improving greatly.
Emily’s Worldwide English Club is amazing. It is the best student organization I have ever seen! I appreciate very much that Emily’s English club encourages my daughter speak up more and be more active.
